Please do not use a vacuum pump for forming. The combination of heat and a vacuum might damage the surface of exquisite leather, change the original shape and structure of leather to a large extent.
Please do not use hair dryer, microwave oven or any other fire sources. If you try to use these machines, heating point on a part of shoes will rise substantially, easy to distort the shape and material of shoes.
Process

- 01.Place oven thermometer into oven
- 02.Put on your socks and shoes, install cleats and pedals you prefer to use in order to achieve the best riding effect.
- 03.Pre-heat oven to 200°F/90°C and allow it to pre-heat for about 8 minutes, please do not exceed 10 minutes. Wear oven gloves or heatproof tool to open the oven and put one cycling shoe on rack in order to ensure the sole is on the rack. Please be careful not to put the side leather of shoe on oven rack. Do not exceed 200°F/90°C. Shoes normally can be processed within 4 minutes.
- 04.Put on oven gloves or heatproof tool and take the shoes out of oven at the schedule time.The material in the heel part should be pliable, not soft. When you wear shoes, do not over-tighten the shoes, and do not pull or push shoes by an excessive force.
- 05.Please shape the shoe when seated. Make sure that there are no deformed surface and no sharp edges. Do not use any tools sharpen than your fingers unless you have many years of experience in using cycling shoes or receive more professional instruction. Do not press or form shoe off your foot. If possible, you can ask others for help to complete this step.
- 06.When the shoes cool down and you had better have your foot in same places for about fifteen minutes. Please check whether closure system stay the desirable position you need, if not, please tighten again to your preferable position. The best result is that you will find your heel is locked in place appropriately and shoes are not as much tight as your other training shoes. If you feel any pressure points in areas where we already heat molded, please reheat and readjust until you reach a comfortable state.
Maintenance
To ensure the durability and excellent performance of your lock shoes, please perform the following maintenance regularly.
- 01.Please keep your shoes dry by putting in a well ventilated place. After riding in wet conditions, please fill your shoes with newspaper or other water absorbing materials to absorb moisture.
- 02.Please use shoe shine cloth or soft brush to wipe away dust regularly. Never wash your shoes in the water directly.
- 03.Please keep the leather clean, use leather lotion or boot cream to improve glossiness and extend service life. Never use any solvents or harsh chemicals.
- 04.Never place near or next to heaters, fires or other source of heat, our shoes are heat molding full carbon fiber base.
- 05.Please clean dials carefully and apply a silicone based or other similar lubricant on a regular basis.
- 06.Please operate dials under instructions. Never turn dials in an opposed direction randomly without referring to the instructions.
- 07.Please make sure you get cleats in the correct situation at the bottom of shoes, adjustable tension can be ensured by altering the distance between bolts when tightening.
- 08.Please check and grease bolts regularly.
